Cheese Ball Without Nuts

2016-10-14 02:23:12 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

This can be made with or without nuts as you will see.

Cheeseball

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 tbl mayonnaise
3 tbl grated onion
1 pkt dry ranch dip mix
1 x 8 oz. block of cream cheese
Chopped pecans (optional)

Put all ingredients (except walnuts) into a bowl and mix well. With your hand, form into a ball and roll in chopped walnuts to coat completely. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve with your favorite crackers. It's an easy make ahead recipe.

Betty writes:
I substituted finely chopped walnuts for the pecans. The cheese ball was a little to rich with them.
I made two cheese balls last Christmas. One with walnuts, and one without for those who are allergic to nuts. They were both gone in a flash!!

Here is my favorite:

8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled
6 oz. medium cheddar, shredded
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tbs. onion, minced
Fresh parsley, chopped

Mix together the cheeses, worcestershire and onion in a food processor until very smooth. I start with the cream cheese, and slowly put in the rest of the stuff. Once it looks smooth, put it in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours so it gets nice and cold and the flavors have a chance to meld. When you take it out, it should feel quite firm and you can mold it into a ball or a log. Roll it in the chopped fresh parsley and place it on a pretty plate with your favorite crackers and vegies. I love this so much, sometimes I make it just for myself MMMMMM

I take 2 pkgs. of cream cheese, 1 8 oz. pkg. of shredded cheddar, 1 bunch of green onions, 1 pkg. of wafer ham, dice up into small pieces and 1 tblsp. of mayo and mix this all together. You will have to use your hands to mix and form into a ball. Chill for an hour or so and serve. This is so good. The longer you can let it chill, make sure you cover it tightly, the better it will be. It lets all the flavors mix the longer you let it chill. Good Luck!!

I just made one for a Halloween party and I used 2 pkg of cream cheese, 1 plastic jar of Heluva Good sharp cheddar cheese spread and then I just added bacon bits, horseradish and tabasco to taste. Depending on how hot you want it. Everyone loved it. You can do anything you like with it. you could add garlic or onion also. During the holidays my mom makes a variety of kinds. They always seem to be a hit. Hope this helps!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aOfbN

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true
