Lots and lots of tears. Then more and when you think you don't have any more, more turn up. It's an all too common condition but in most cases recovery although sometimes slow, does take place... All the best darling.

When you feel like your heart has hit the pit of your stomach and you feel like there is nothing you can do about it. You feel depressed and like the world has stopped and nothing you do it right anymore.... But cheer up there is a rainbow with a pot of gold at the end. You are not the only one who has or is going through this. Thousands do daily and we all survive it. Just remember it will get better with time.

Feeling consummed by the events leading to the split, wondering what changed and what you did wrong. Pining for the past and the love you once had and felt solidly sure of. Swinging between love and furious rage for your ex. Not eating well, disturbed sleep, poor concentration. Feeling like nothing on earth is as important as what is going on in your head.
It's a horrible place to be and makes you feel like a pathetic, vulnerable weakling. IT WILL GET BETTER, and that which hurts us the most really does serve to make us stronger in time.

I once said to my mum "I'll never be in love like that again". I expected her to say "of course you will" but...
She said "you are right, you will never be in love like that again". I looked at her and she said
"every time you are in love it will be different".
She's right, you feel like your life is over that your heart is broken. I used to listen to a song called "the end of the world" which summed up how I felt, it said "why do the stars keep on shining, why does the sea rush to shore, don't they know it's the end of the world coz you don't love me anymore".
Then you meet someone who is more fabulous and more wonderful than you ever knew existed....

an ache in your chest
tears falling like a waterfall
hence swollen eyes and red nose
even someone else's misfortune doesn't make you smile
wailing on the sofa, and the whales in the oceans are freaking out for that mating call ..
sighing the deepest sighs
not washing for days
not getting dressed for days
no eating
drinking and drinking until you are in oblivion and the tears stop for a while
oh my god no you are not alone i could begone for sometime laters : > (
