If you have a local park with a community center, maybe they can rent you space for an hour or two. You could have very simple, basic refreshments, and the kids can run and play in the playground, if the weather is okay. And maybe their is an inside playroom if the weather is poor. The great thing about little kids is that it doesn't take much to make them happy, and simple is often best (and less expensive, too).

At home with some friends and family. The party is really for the adults. The baby does not know it's a party.

Can't go wrong with Chuckie Cheese.........Or any play land near you...Or keep it simple and have a little party at home..get a cake and pizza, toys,games,gifts..Or you can take a little group on a trip to an aquarium, park, or zoo if its warm enough outside..One year old is still kinda young for him/her to really know whats going on........Good Luck to ya!

The child is too young to remember where you are going to have it, so have it where you will be comfortable. Your own home is probably best if you plan on doing the traditional "let your kid dig their hands in their first cake" thing; that way you can clean them up easier in your own home and everyone will have a great time.

i think home is the best place or at least a place where he or she can take a nap. lots of people, sights, sounds, and smells can tire them out quickly or just make them cranky. they aren't going to remember the party but its a great picture taking opportunity. remember you might plan the party but they will cry if they want to!

Anywhere that allows them to run and play and make noise. The usual chucky cheese is perfect for this.

A small gathering, family a few friends, at your house / apartment. I really don't think right now the baby cares but maybe later she/he will. So I think you should have a small one at you house.
