What the Bride Says
As the bride opens each gift, have someone write down what she says (without her knowing). After all the gifts are opened, have the person read her comments back. These are the bride's words to describe her wedding night. (Make sure your guests can handle this one!)

Spice of Life
Get as many spices together as you want and place them in unmarked, but numbered jars. Pass each one around the room and have each guest write down what she thinks it is. At the end of the game, award the one with the most correct answers the collection of spices. (Be sure to include the corresponding list!)

Mom's Advice
Have each guest tell the best and worst advice they received from their mother or grandmother. Award a prize to the person who gives the best advice and a booby prize to the worst advice received!

Clothespin Game
As each guest arrives, clip a clothespin to her clothing. If someone hears another person saying the word "bride", she gets to take her clothespin. The player with the most "pins" at the end of the shower, gets a prize.

Memory Game
Place fifteen to twenty small wedding related items on a tray and cover them with a lace napkin. To play this game, place the tray in the center of your guests for two minutes. Cover the tray again and ask the guests to write down as many of the items as they can remember. The person who remembers the most, wins a prize.

Penny Prize
Place a penny under a coffee cup and saucer and give the certerpiece to the person who sits in that chair.

I like the toilet paper bridal fashions mentioned.

Also the game where the bride's comments about her gifts are mad-libbed into a wedding night scenario-- since she'll be opening presents anyway, why not take the opportunity ot get lewd about it?

Why not keep everybody happy and have shots and games...?

I recommend starting around 11am with a nice brunch-- Bloody Marys, mimosas, quiche, fruit, some nice sausage and/or smoked salmon

Then move on to the serious partying....

Oh, a couple more things...
I agree with the guy who said don;t invite... guys, but that's not the same thing as hiring young men to serve food and drinks, for example.

Also, if you want a fun "bachelorette party" movie, "Live Nude Girls" is a scream. Five or six women get together for a last blast before their friend gets married. This serves as the venue for each woman to have a sexual fantasy, which is enacted as a "dream sequence" kind of thing. Most of htem are funny as heck...

We made a goofy hat. Anytime someone said the work "Wedding" you had to wear the hat until the next person said "wedding". It was fun!

Also we had all the guests list 12 items that the bride would receive. The guests had to hold onto their lists and the bride had to open her gifts. You check off your item each time the bride opened something that was on your list. The first guest to match all 12 items on their list to the bride opening her gifts one some kind of small prize. This made the guests pay attention to the bride opening her very last gift.

Make sure the bride wants games first, some find them very irritating and it is her day after all.

My favourite was getting all the girls into teams of 3 and giving each team loads of white toilet rolls and get each team to design and cloth one of their number in a brides dress using the toilet paper. Prize for the winning team.

Hey I got an idea. Don't get pressured into inviting men. We hate going even more than you hate asking us. Please don't do the couple thing...women only.
