no, as it has been said, vitamin c is water soluble and the body flushes out unabsorbed vitamin c. diabetes can't really be cured, it can be controlled. taking ENOUGH vitamin c in by diet or supplement might be a good idea especially for diabetics because of the vision problems diabetics tend to face. your mom was right about eating carrots for your eyes, it's not a save all, but has been shown to help

Vitamin C has many benefits at various dosages.

But in my study of pharmacology and when assisting my dad manage his diabetes I found no information or hear of any studies that indicated high doses of Vitamin C or even using it cured or helped in the treatment on diabetes.

In fact over the years I have met so many people that insist on taking 500mg or even 1000mg of vitamin C t.i.d. or 3 times each day. When I ask why they tell me that taking 500mg or 1000mg at one time 3x times a days helps them to avoid colds, aids in neutralizing pollutants and many other things. To a point they are correct.

But if you research the absorption rate and how long it remains in you system you learn that the human body can only absorb 100mg of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) at any given time...PERIOD.

To put it an other way (and this is what I have told my family, friends and co-workers) taking 500mg, 1000mg, 2000mg etc at a single dose is a waste of $$$. WHY? Because again the human body only absorbs and uses 100mg at a time and the the other 400mg - 1900mg you waste or pass through urination. Better to take 100mg every 3 hours and get the benefit and not waste your money.

Heck even my physician has told be the same thing

no taking that much of a vitamin is harmfull and wastefull.
all it will do at first is be wasted you will see this by the change in urine colour . when you see that just think yourself i am really pissing away my money.
there is a great deal of information about diabetes everwhere
but i am sure no matter where you go no informed sorce would tell you to take that much of any vitamin.
after a while it becomes very bad to take too much vitamin supliments stick to the amount it advices on the bottle or take a multi vitamin if you dont think you are getting the amount of vitamins you need from you meals .

Do you not think that if that was all it took, then the diabetes institutions around the world would be reccommending it for all the millions of diabetics. Taking that amount of vitamin C can not be good for you. The body does not hold on to any that it doesn't need and the rest gets flushed down the toilet.

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/n8mVb

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:

This program http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=549 helped me to improve my quality of life as a diabetic. The system asserts that it's able to reverse diabetes in as short as 3 weeks. I still think that diabetes is a chronic disease and can't be reversed but I really liked the book. It helped me watching everything related to my diabetes under a different perspective. That's why I recommend it.

Hmmm. Doubt it. If he has diabetes because he is overweight, the only thing he can do is diet and exercise and lose the weight. Otherwise, I would suggest he take his medicine.
