An aneurysm is a ballooning out of a vessel wall and can actually be located anywhere. Common sites are the brain and the abdominal aorta. When an aneurysm of the aorta ruptures (breaks) death is usually rapid due to the quick extent of blood loss. A brain aneurysm causes stroke like symptoms and the aftereffects are those of a stroke. There is a possibility she had a heart attack as a result of the stress of the aneurysm.

You do not have all of the facts. An aneurysm of the brain does not cause a heart attack, instead it causes bleeding into the brain. An aneurysm of a major artery such as the aorta may cause a heart attack. People survive this only if it is discovered quickly and corrected by surgery. Those who survive an aneurysm of the brain generally sustain serious neurologic damage.

From what I understand, an aneurysm is when a blood clot either forms in the brain or when a blood vessel pops in the brain.

If you did survive from an aneurysm, you'd either be permanently paralyzed (in some way) or left as a vegetable.

My uncle died from an aneurysm, also.
He stayed in the "vegetable" state for about two days before his wife (whom I hate) decided to take him off of life support.

Each individual is different. And so is the size of the aneurism. Some are large - some are small.

Had one friend who had an aneurism in the brain - he went on to be a lawyer.
Second friend had one in his abdomen between stomach and heart, he was gone before he hit the floor.
