Could be a sinus infection or an allergy.

Well I don't think there is a way to fix it.
I had surgery for this
They opened up my sinuses and a couple other things in my nose.
It was to stop my sinus infections, Headaches and snoring well all things still happen to me don't listen if they say "How about Surgery" its not worth it the bad taste in your mouth sounds like Post nasal drip. Go see a ear nose and throat doctor

Welcome to the wonderful world of Sleep Apnea! Sorry, didn't mean to be so glib. I also suffer from the disorder, just don't let it go so long as i did. Go to get a sleep study done. If they determine you to have a problem, and it sounds like you do, you will get a lifesaving device called a C-PAP. Gone are the days of snoring, and waking gasping for breath. Everyone in my household is thankful. Best of luck to you.

Bet your partner really loves sleeping with you poor sould. Could be you have sleep apnoeia. My boyfriend has it and I can hear him stop breathing, or it seems like it, then he gasps for air and starts snoring again. I could kill him, but have had to get used to it. Smoking would give you the symptoms you have or just lying with your mouth wide open (beautiful sight to behold!!) Just get a doctor to have a look to check you have no ear, nose and throat problems. Good luck and sleep well!!

Speak to your doctor about it, the bitter taste you taste when you wake up is acidic and may cause damage to your esophagus (throat). Snoring can be caused by certain passges meant for air to pass through in your body may be blocked or clogged. Ask specifially about "Sleep Apnea"

Acid reflux, G.U.R.D., is a nasty thing to live with. Don't eat so close to bedtime and take a zantac (generic: ranatidine) a few hours before bedtime to limit acid production in the stomach. You'll feel much better!!
I am not sure what to tell you about the snoring?!? Sorry.

You need to go to the doctor and have a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea. This a very serious condition where you stop breathing off and on while you sleep. You really need to get this taken care of or you may not wake up.

sorry to say but forget all home remedies... go to a doc for a sleep study, sounds like sleep apnea, i got it too.. my ex says i used to stop breathing while sleeping and that causes the choking thing sometimes.... there are many side effectes of apnea... take care of it before any perm damage happens, the c-pap machine works great... i little bothersome but worh it.

good luck

if you dont have medical insurance i would suggest getting some before you go for your first visit.
