I love tamales!!! My favorite are pork tamales.
Not only do I like the taste of them, but I like the whole process of making them. My mom, sisters and myself get togehter on a weekend before Christmas and make dozens of them! It's so much fun. I can't wait to make them this year.

I prefer green chili tamales. Had them for the first time last Christmas and they were fantastic!! Either with pork or chicken, doesn't matter. Hope I can find them again this year.

We always make turkey tamales after Thanksgiving with the leftover turkey: love them!

my favorite are Mexican cheese with jalapeno strips...... mmmmmmm
I also like beef tamales with red sauce, green olives and a sliver of potato.
these originate from northern mexico, specifically from the state of Sinaloa
