I actually JUST experienced this very thing. I am diabettic type 2 and just recently I had been experiencing frequent urination (every 10 minutes). At first I thought the vaginal dryness and itching I was experiencing was because of the fact that I was wiping so frequently and also because of this new caramel creme shower gel that I was using. I knew the frequent urination I was experiencing was due to my high sugar levels. I'd also heard that people who are diabetic are more susceptible to frequent yeast infections or UTIs because of the glucose in their blood stream. So, at first, I thought that was what I was experiencing-- a yeast infection. I'd never had one in my life and did not know the exact symptoms or what to do. There was no discharge or odor, only intense itching and dryness.
After maybe two weeks, the dryness and itching seemed to disappear. I felt a lot better. My fiance and I decided to have intercourse, and I could not get wet. I was still experiencing the dryness. So-- he tried to lubricate me with his saliva. The next day-- the itching and burning returned ten times as worse and I was totally irritated. I thought I was going to die. I tried a monistat 1 and that only slightly relieved the symptoms. Finally, I went to the emergency room and explained that I thought I had a yeast infection due to high glucose levels. I told them that the symptoms increased after sexual activity, but that I was sure it was not an std because my boyfriend and I were virgins and had never been with anyone else other than each other. They did tests and could not find a UTI nor could they diagnose the irritation as a "yeast infection" caused by Candida. They diagnosed it as vaginitis, said I was just extremely irritated and prescribed a three pill antibiotic in case of bacterial infection and also an antifungal vaginal cream (prescriptive monistat per the pharmacist) in case of fungal infection. They also gave me a solution IV while in the hospital to bring my glucose level down, which stopped the severe unrination, which gave me some relief from the irritation. It was like that entire area (kidneys and vaginal) was just completely irritated.
SO-- right now I am finishing the antifungal cream. The pharmacist told me that I could use it on the inside of the labia where I was experiencing the dryness and itching, so that it was I did, as opposed to using the applicator to insert the cream into my vaginea. After five days of doing that, though my symptoms seemed to have subsided drastically, I still did not feel 100% normal down there. So, I started to use the applicator to insert the cream. I am on day four. After the solution IV to bring my glucose down, the antibiotic, the monistat 1 and now the prescription antifungal, I STILL do not feel 100% like before. I am still dry and that has NEVER been a problem until recently.
One thing that I DID mention to the doctor was that my boyfriend has had a ear and throat problem for the longest that he believes is some sort of infection. I am guessing that there was some sort of bacteria or something in his saliva that increased the irritation, combined with the irritation I was already experiencing I still don't know if, indeed, it was a yeast infection; now I am guessing that it may had been an infection that was caused by something other than Candida since it intensified after intercourse. Since we are still inexperienced, I thought the irritation I was feeling was because he tore something down there or whatever. Now, I'm afraid to have sex again. Sex is also extremely painful for me-- it feels like he is ripping something. I don't even know if he is inserting it into the correct hole. I feel really embarrased to admit this, but wer are 31 and had sex for the first time when we were 29. Since then, we've had it off and on maybe 5 times, so I know the infrequency is not helping the situation. I am trying not to resort to my old ways of masturbation, but it seems that vaginal intercourse is too, too painful, and clitoral stimulation is my total preference but never occurs during actual intercourse. I read somewhere about vulvodynia (google that if you want more info) and a doctor told me once that some women have a nerve at their vaginal entrance that may be causing painful intercourse and may need to be cut. I haven't done more research on that, but I will now.
The vaginal dryness you are experiencing that is causing pain during intercourse MAY be the result of your glucose levels, but there may also be another explanation. See your physician to have them diagnose the problem; the emergency room was not completely thorough, but it was an immediate solution for me. Your question is making me feel that maybe my own discomfort during sex is a result of diabetes, though the discomfort does not seem to stem from the vaginal dryness, but instead from penetration. I think I am going to repost part of my answer in a separate question, because I may have to seek medical attention to overcome the pain. I suggest you see a doctor to make sure that your glucose levels are not causing the dryness and pain.

That was my first sign that I had Diabetes. I could stand the shoes but could not stand to continue wearing socks.I did take a anti depressant for Neuropathy , but being that it only really hurts at night , I just take Tramadol for the pain . Just to sleep. What are the symptoms of diabetic neuropathies? Symptoms depend on the type of neuropathy and which nerves are affected. Some people with nerve damage have no symptoms at all. For others, the first symptom is often numbness, tingling, or pain in the feet. Symptoms are often minor at first, and because most nerve damage occurs over several years, mild cases may go unnoticed for a long time. Symptoms can involve the sensory, motor, and autonomic—or involuntary—nervous systems. In some people, mainly those with focal neuropathy, the onset of pain may be sudden and severe. Symptoms of nerve damage may include •numbness, tingling, or pain in the toes, feet, legs, hands, arms, and fingers •wasting of the muscles of the feet or hands •indigestion, nausea, or vomiting •diarrhea or constipation •dizziness or faintness due to a drop in blood pressure after standing or sitting up •problems with urination •erectile dysfunction in men or vaginal dryness in women •weakness Symptoms that are not due to neuropathy, but often accompany it, include weight loss and depression. remember , if it is Diabetic neuropathy make sure that the doctor give you Tramadol for the pain. Most just treat the neuropathy with neurontin and never treat the pain. Just letting you suffer. Maybe even go into depression. Take care Tin

Excessive urinating during the day can be linked to what you drink. Coffee, tea and alcohol will give you this problem because they are duretics and will try to dehydrate you. Urinating a lot at night is more likely to be the diabetes symptom.
The dryness you are experiencing could be the female equivilent of erectile disfunction suffered by diabetic males.
Best thing is go to a doctor and have a fasting blood test and this will nail it once and for all.
Your anxiety could be the cause of the dryness.

If it is causing you real problems then you should see a Dr as there are many reasons for vaginal dryness. Also urinary frequency can be linked to vaginal dryness. You may have an infection or if you are a smoker this can cause vaginal dryness. It may be linked to the implant but if it has occurred suddenly then you should definitely see a Dr.

Vaginal dryness is from lack of estrogen.
Use a water-soluable lubricant such as;
Lubifax or K-Y Jelly,Vegitable oils,and unscented cream or oil.
Do the Kegel Excercise;
Here is how you do it;
Imagine you want to stop urine in midstream.Squeeze the muscles in your vaginal area firmly.Hold to the count of three,then relax.Practice with a rapid alternation between tightning and letting go.You can practice thia anytime anyhere.
This is not a sign of diabetes unless you take a glucose test to confirm.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/Zwn0E
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.
