4 cups flour
2 tsp. salt
6 teas. baking powder ( Clabber Girl is the best)
2 heaping tablespoons Crisco
2 cups buttermilk made from the powdered or fresh
Sift the flour with the salt and baking powder. Cut in the Crisco.
Add the milk all at once and stir gently. Do not over mix or they will be tough. Pat out on floured board to a 1 and 1/2 thickness.
Cut out biscuits with a cutter and put in biscuit pan touching each other. Bake at 450 degrees for 18 minutes. If you like a soft top, butter the tops while hot.

I'm with Momof4. I would go to Red Lobster just for the biscuits and friends have brought me back some when they ate there for lunch, knowing how much I love them.
