The general rule is: Activity as tolerated. That means the person tries to do whatever they'd like, but they need to pay attention to their heart rate and breathing. If they, and their remaining lung, are healthy enough, they may be able to do many of the things they enjoyed prior to the lobectomy. Even jogging! The body has a great system for compensation. It's up to the individual to set the limits. No smoking, of course.
