Are you sure it was her you contracted AIDS from and not a previous relationship or an affair ?

I empathise with you and advise that you see your doctor regularly, go on any anti HIV meds when your doctor advises it, eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and reevaluate your life.

I can not imagine what i would do in your situation, so all i can say is , i'm sorry and life is unfair.

p.s.-> if she has aids and u have aids , having unprotected sex is a bad idea because u and her could keep infecting each other with mutated strains of the virus which means you could have a shorter life filled with sickness.

I think you mean your girlfriend gave you HIV not AIDS. AIDS is a diagnosis not a virus.

If you believe your girlfriend gave you HIV, it's up to you what to decide.

Medically speaking, I think you should see a doctor that specializes in HIV medicine.

Criminally speaking, you have every right to contact the police department having jurisdiction where the sex actually occurred and request an investigation. In most States it's a felony to engage in any form of penetration without informing your partner that you are HIV positive. However, this only applies if she knew she was positive.

Hope this helps.

How do you know you have been infected?

I am guessing you have not been for a test yet - or it would be explained that at worst you have HIV - which is a WORLD away from an AIDS diagnosis.

AIDS typically is something that might happen 10-20 years down the line, until then if you are able to get medication, HIV is reasonably treatable - albeit admittedly some of the drugs are not pleasant.

Are you in love? How could you trust her after this? Did she already know she had aids? What else has she lied about to you? Why would she hurt you this way? Did she do this purposely? Did she know? These are a few questions you need the answers to if she knew that she had aids and her doctor diagnosed it she can go to jail. Why shouldnt she be arrested? She decieved you, and did something that can not be reversed to you. Just dont take matters into your own hands. Involve the law this is serious, if you feel that you need to do what it is you need to do.

You can either break up and have her charged. If her doctor knew she had Aids, then she can be in big trouble for not telling you. I would be very unhappy if I had a partner who passed HIV/AIDS to me. When it comes to a relationship, you want to have someone you can love and trust....and open minded. In that case she should of told you that she had AIDS.

If you are serious, then dump her. Not because she gave you the hiv virus, but because she violated your truth on an important and life-threatening issue. Do you want to continue a relationship where your partner denies you the truth on vital issues like this?

That's why condoms were invented.

She may not have known. It takes 6 months for the HIV virus to show in testing.

You need to see your doctor and begin HIV treatment for life. You also need to wear protection during future sex and notify any partners even though you're using a condom.
