Some breads do. Eggs don't make things rise. French bread is made only from yeast, water, flour, and salt. Rising takes place when the yeast eats the starch of the flour and gives off CO2 that gets trapped in the dough. The little holes in bread are pockets of gas created by the yeast.

Yeast makes it rise, yeast is a living plant which gives off a gas when it "eats" the sugar., that's why it rises and has little air holes throughout. Some breads contain eggs, read the ingredients to be sure, but most 'regular' breads do not contain animal products

Eggs in bread make the dough chewier. Most sweet breads will have eggs in them to make them chewy and moist, or even an egg white wash on the outside to put a shine on the outside. Breads that have a lofty crumb texture, and crispy crust, will not have eggs in them.
Yeast eat the sugars in the dough and produce gas (and other by-products that impart the taste of the bread - just like sourdough has a special taste in its by-product). This gas is trapped in the gluten threads that are made by kneading the bread. Gluten is the protein in the flour (that is why bread flour contains more gluten than all-purpose flour) that when kneaded starts to cling together making strands in the dough.

Some bread can have eggs in it, but most don't.
Yeast is what causes bread to rise. The yeast eats the sugars in the flour, and creates CO2 (carbondioxide) which causes the dough to rise.
Hope this helps.

Bread rises because of the yeast. The eggs are simply a binding agent that holds the dough together.

Most breads do have egg in them. Bread "rises" from yeast.
