If I were you I would say "Don't touch me until you get rid of your pets" That's not being mean it's the truth. Those things are highly contagious and it's entirely possible that you can transmit them through casual contact.

Oh you'll know it soon enough if it's true because you'll start seeing the crabs fall off of you in the tub and on your sheets. Go to the drug store and get crab shampoo, use it as directed and throw out your sheets and sterilize everything like your toilet and your tub and anything your privates could have come in contact with or you'll get infected again. You have to use a comb to get rid of the eggs and use the shampoo a couple of times.

Jeeze if you are sleeping in the same bed the cooties will get you too! Crabs are lice in the public hair. She needs to see a doctor and so do you. You will also have to disinfect your bed linens, clothes, mattress, towels, etc. Once at the first treatment and again in 7-10 days when the nits have hatched. Have fun.

You both need to go the sexually transmitted disease clinic in your city and they will advise you from there. Crabs are just pubic lice and it is not life threatening although you may wish to get this unpleasant situation resolved. I used to work at an STD clinic.

Tell the crabs to lighten up........being serious is not going to help. Has she considered opening a seafood stall or anything like that......

Encourage her to see a family doctor or maybe a free clinic.
Also, talk to her about the importance of her health and protection, that's really important. Let her know that she has your support.

Crabs are little bugs and they jump from one piece of hair to panties to pants to toilets....etc. They are nasty. She has to get tested and debugged. If I were you I would stay clear of even getting next to her like that. Forget about washing your covers, might as well buy new ones. She is so nasty...Ewwwwww. Please get her fixed. And you're welcome
