Why? Are you a vegetarian?
In that case, do you feel guilty to breathe air, when you are looking at fish in an aquarium?
Do you feel bad that you sit when you pee, when in a roomful of boys?
You are different, baby. There's nothing wrong with that. Your friend isn't better or worse than you becuase she is vegetarian. She may not be healthier either, becuase there is lots of scientific argument that says we (people) are carnivores, and need meat to develop properly.
Its not wrong to be different. Be proud to be you. You is good. Be strong in your belief in yourself, be tolerant of others, but NEVER feel like less than they are, because they do something different than you.

My sister is a vegetarian but besides her, my whole family eats meat like everyday. However, my sister, who is 17, has not always been a vegetarian and it has only been about 5 years. So, i believe that when somebody eats meat in front of a vegetarian, the vegetarian should understand that she (or he) is that one that gave up meat. My sister is okay whith anyone eating meat in front of her, she just doesn't want the meat in her face and she especially wants that person to wash their hands afterwards. You shouldn't feel bad when eating meat around your friend because first of all, it was her desision, and second, she would want you to feel normal around her.

Well you probably should not. I'm a veggie and when my friends eat meat in front of me it like sort of an insult in a way. But I have to respect their choice in eating meat and they respect mine. Most of them feel bad in eating meat in front of veggies so you proably should talk to your friend about this issue!

I'm a vegetarian and it doesn't bother me when people eat meat on front of me.

Lots of people DO feel bad and I tell them not to. It is MY decision to eliminate meat, and it is THEIR decision to include meat.

Why does she feel bad when she eats veggies in front of you.
She knows that wheather religion or choice not all practice the same. I'm sure she does not mind, and if she does well, she's rather shallow.

Don't worry about it. If she's truly your friend, she will respect that you enjoy meat and are not a vegetarian. Respect her too, by not being negative about what she's eating.

To avoid feeling "bad", choose that time to eat a salad. The only other choice is to eat what you want, and ignore the bad feeling. You could express your feeling to your friend, too - if you think it'll help you.

Don't feel bad, but ask her if she minds. If she doesn't, great. If she does, try to avoid meat around her.

She chose to be a veg, not you. While you can try to help her get through the tough first year, don't mold your life around it.

i think your friend is probably a wiccan or a witch. meat makes you feel good when you eat it. since you are feeling bad, i think your friend is a witch and is casting an evil spell on you. try capturing the witch and feeding it meat.

P.S. Vegetarian food is revulsive! I won't even keep my food in the same fridge as that refuse. >>HoooeurcKe!<<
