i don't really think so, because even though i've been a vegetarian almost my whole life and wouldnt know how hard it is to switch, i know a couple people who have and they didnt find it hard at all. my sister recently stopped eating all meat except chicken, and one of my friends became a vegetarian a year or two ago. while she (my friend) struggled a little at the beginning, it is now as natural to her as breathing. of course, everyone is different, so it's hard to say for sure. if you are considering going vegetarian yourself, then good luck! congratulations on making such a great choice. but even if you're not, now maybe you might have some encouragement ;)

How difficult the change will be depends on how much meat you eat in your daily life. If you don't keep meat in your house then the temptation will be less. If you live with meat eaters it will be more difficult because you will be watching them.... Motivation is another factor. If it is just something you feel like trying but don't have any strong opinions about then it probably won't work out.

It's all a matter of habit. If you think about it, quitting smoking is similar. although I must note that there is no tar or nicotene in beef, meat is still part of your life. You've grown up with it, you'll get cravings and you'll, for lack of better words, 'Fiend' for it. If you WANT to quit eating meat, then it's possible to do it with no argument. it's will over way, if you will. (Pardon the pun.)

I'm not a vegetarian.
I love a nice steak - but I also enjoy vegetarian's food.
It is very tasty but it does give you the poohs!
