If there is a a stroke you should NOT take aspirin because if the brain has a hemorrhage the aspirin will thin the blood and lead to further bleeding in the brain. All you can do during a stroke is get the person to a hospital a soon as you can, don't even wait for the ambulance if the hospital is nearby. In the event of a heart attack you should give the person aspirin and constantly check their breathing and heart rate, if they stop breathing you have to breath for them and if their heart stops beating (or is very slow or weak) you have to give them chest compressions (if both happen then use the ratio of one breath per 30 compressions). If a defibrillator is nearby you should use it. The best thing to do is call 911 before you do anything else. ANYONE WHO SAYS TO TAKE ASPIRIN FOR A STROKE IS WRONG!!!!

Aspirin under the tongue it'll dissolve and get into the blood stream faster. And call 911 or other emergency number in your area.
If you can, grind it up a little first, a lot of them are coated and it takes longer for them to dissolve. It doesn't have to be Bayer aspirin, any aspirin will work as they all have the same blood thinner in them. And that's what you want, the blood thinned so it can get through the heart easier.
Please go to, www.webmd.com and look under heart attack or strokes, and see what they suggest you do.
A lot of it will depend on how far along the attack or stroke is. Has it, just this minute started happening or has it been a few minutes? Go to the web site and look into it, it can tell you more and better than we can.

Caution:- You should not take aspirin in the case of Hemorrhagic stroke. Aspirin is an anti-coagulant and it will cause more cerebral hemorrhage. It usually worsen the case.
In the case of Diabetic patients, no cardiac pain will be felt. If there is pedal edema (swelling of feet) and cardiac asthma, it is better to shift the patient to the hospital for better care and treatment.
