I've been informed by the oldies that bathing a child more than once and afternoon time is bad for kids. Thay say it weakens the lungs and kids easily get sick like colds and cough because of bathing them that way. I need scientific explanations with this. my kid's pedia says has nothing to do with bathing but the oldies still goes with theirs. What's actually causing them weak?

Oh boy, old tales. Be smart about this sweetness, dont ask a question as serious as this from us here on answers, you can never really tell the genuine from the fake. As far as I am concerned it is not true as my daughter has had bathes all times of the day, sometimes more than once a day, but dont take my word for it, do some research on some valid sites or speak with your gp. Opinions are found here on this site more than scientific facts. You do have to take a lot into consideration with something like that such as previous or underlying conditions, again, research or gp. Good luck :o)

Ok first of all I have a child with lung issues/trachestomy tube and her pulmo incourages us to bath her several times a day! The warm water lossens the gunk in her lungs. Also her twin sister is bathed like 3 or 4 times a day sometimes (she is a messy 2 year old) and she has never really beeen sick. So NO. I am pretty sure your answer is NO
