Verruca Plana (Flat warts) is what I have growing on my upper lip in the corner. Very embarrassing and make my very sad.

I know the basics about these warts by doing search on Google. What I am looking for is treatment methods and ways to treat at home. I started getting little white dots in the corner of my mouth when I was 14 or so and now they are looking more like flat warts.

Someone please explain to me oral treatments for Verruca Plana (flat warts) and common myths about wart cures.

Pic of center Verruca Plana ( I have the same except in both corners of my upper lip.)

I have given tohe site in the source from which the following information is taken. The treatment is based on homeopathic medicines i.e., oral. You may contactthem for further information and treatment.

Wart is one of the common dermatological disorders caused by DNA viruses, which grow in the epidermis. The source of infection is other infected individuals and the disease is transmitted by direct or close contact. It has very low infectivity; a casual contact with an infected individual is unlikely to result in the disease.
Plain Warts or Verruca Plana : It presents as skin colored, slightly raised flat -topped papules and are usually present on dorsum of hand and face.
All the cases were given pre-coded drugs Thuja, Ruta, Calcarea carb and Causticum following double blind placebo controlled study, parallel design for a period of 15 days. The pre-coded drugs of 30 potency were given in TDS doses, 200 potency was used in BD doses and 1M potency was used in OD doses.

This study had much larger size than the previous one and care was taken to avoid carry over effects of homoeopathic medicines adopting different research design.

The little red dots indicate venous activity. If you remove the tops from the wart/s they will probably bleed. Best not to let that happen. Warts/verruca is a virus - it is believed that the wart will have an end as all viruses do however I have known a person have a wart for 5 years before treatment. Your local pharmacist can recommend a wart treatment such as Salactol however whatever product you use please follow the instructions to the letter and do not give up on the treatment too early. If treatment is spasmodic all you will do is end up feeding the virus. Should you want to try a non-chemical treatment - don't laugh - try a banana. Cut a piece of banana wart size and place pith side down (white side to the verruca) over the wart hold in place with plaster. This forms an occlusive dressing (air free) and there is an enzyme in bananas which seems to kill off the verruca virus. Change the banana dressing twice a day. If you find that the good skin around the banana becomes sore stop the treatment as this obviously does not suit your skin type or mask the area with vaseline so that the banana is not touching your skin but not so much that you cannot get a stickable surface to hold the banana skin in place. If all is okay continue treatment for another couple of days to ensure the virus has gone. (I know this one is a bit weird but it does work.) If you want to have both burned out go to your doctor or look for a podiatrist who is qualified to perform cryosurgery. It is said that once you have had a verruca you gain an immunity and they do not recur - this however is not my experience.
