well i take it you have taken her to the doctor .
don't let her lay down all the time instead get her to sit up even have her sleep in a sitting up position lots of pillows or in a easy chair . no big activities but some walking is good in the house or outside just around you house . don't push the walking but let her know she has to try to do some stop when she gets to tired
but the sleep and rest sitting up is vital as is movement.
another thing is to have a bucket of something she can cough up and spit out into lots of tissues and remember to wash your hands and face often so you don't get it . wash the area's of the home she has been in using something like Lysol sp

She may need to sit up. I have had Pneumonia and she needs to see a doctor. They will hospitalize her if it is bad. Otherwise maybe antibiotics to keep it from becoming bacterial pneumonia. Don't mess around with pneumonia. My girl friend died from it in less then two days. It kills fast!!!!

I deal with this problem several times a year because my son is a severe asthmatic. They should not lay flat alot.Fluid could build up in their lung. She should get rest. Most of all make sure to give her all of her antibiotics. Also, check with her doctor or if you are unable to do that ask your pharmacist's. And ignore the person that said if she really has it she would be in the hospital. That is always true. As long as they are stable and you are able to keep the fever down the usually send them home.

I had pneumonia as a child and the best thing for her to do is what makes her most comfortable. The most important thing I wanted was My Mom, and she was there.

I hope she feels better soon.
