It is generally very painful and yes you would know about it! Mind you that said there is such a thing as a "silent" heart attack and as the name suggests you would not know about that.

Not necessarily. I had a small heart attack in Jan, '02. It felt like indigestion that wouldn't go away. Even at the hospital, I thought they might send me home. After some tests, they told me I had several blockages, and I had bypass surgery the next morning.
The surgery and recovery was more painful than what turned out to be a heart attack!

Yes u would feel it. The pain u feel during a heart attack is the heart muscle dying because of lack of circulation usually caused by a blockage.

Typically, a person has pain (or pressure) with a heart attack. Many of my patients say they "feel as if something is sitting on their chest." I have had many patients who have other symptoms such as fatigue, arm pain, jaw aching, indigestion. However, many people suffer heart attacks and never know it, such as patients with diabetes. Women also have unusual and vague symtoms when they have a heart attack which may be misdiagnosed.

Every answer is different as is every heart attack. I had a major attack and only had a heavy chest with a numb arm, I was dead the doctor said and they brought me back. It was a peaceful journey where ever I went and I was comfortable. That's all I can tell you. From the horses mouth.

Most of the time, YES. Heavy crushing pain in ya chest going to ya jaw and arms. Scarely stuff. You may fell like vomiting ya guts out. BUT, if you are old and diabetic you may not experience the pain. In this case you may just drop dead. God forbid.

Yes and no. You wouldn't feel the pain in your heat (although your heart has nerves it has no pain receptors) although you would feel it in your left arm. its like having a terrible case of heartburn plus a slight loss of conciseness and pain other places, so yes it does hurt but no, not in your heart.
