When I went for the test they said approx 2 weeks. Is this a bad sign? The receptionist said she'd chase it up and that they're just really busy- but I fear they're re-testing. Anyone know?

i'd think that maybe they are really buissy. if it was positive i dont think they would mis place it and they would have you come in and take more blood probalby for another sample would be my guess. good luck.

do u know i had the same problem with my pregnacy hiv test, i neer did get the result! but the midwives kept saying " no news is good news" in the end they just presumed i was negative! i was told i would be contacted really quickly if it had been positve! please don't worry im sure its a good sign! and god forbid if not, aids isn't a death sentence unless u live in somewhere really poor!

I agree if they havent called i wouldnt worry. Although you cant rule out if you have it or not until you get the actual results. The clinic I work at positive results come back wayyyy sooner.

It's probably done and they haven't gotten around to giving you the results. I'm sure they are busy.
Stop obsessing. And stop having unprotected sex then this won't be an issue.

Blood tests take ages to process as there are hundreds everyday. im a student nurse and see them being processed sometimes and it takes a while. dont think the worst, you may be negative.

nah dont worry any clinic is usually like that there very busy so dont think its a bad result, let us no when u get the results

just give them a phone and put your mind at rest one way or another!!! (easier said than done,i know) it doesn`t mean anything is wrong. and for all the people who are telling you not to have unprotected sex are ignorant!!! they don`t know why you have been tested..........for all they know you could have been stabbed with a dirty needle or something else!! they are far too quick to judge!! take care and good luck. i will keep my fingers crossed for you.xx

they probably just forgot to call. i had 2 pap tests in a row that i had to call about more than once before i got the results. i was scared to death! they just forgot to send me the results and then had to hunt them down.
