if you have occasional episodes of low blood sugar, then a glass of milk and digestive biscuit will higher it. Don't go mad eating sweet stuff to get it up, as it doesn't take alot. a glass of 7up either will do the trick. Are you an actual diabetic or simply prone to getting low blood sugar levels? Keep an eye on your levels and ensure you eat enough in the day. You may be exercising alot and not eating enough to replace the energy lost. have a chat with your practice nurse.

Didn't they go over this with you in your diabetes ed class or at your doctors ?? It is very important to know what to do in a low bs situation.
#1- All foods do NOT raise BS.Only carbs with raise BS. Things like meat and fat will not effect your sugar.

#2-You do NOT need to consult with a doctor for a low BS. We all get them. They are scary. Have a plan.My plan is milk or regular soda followed by some sort of protein once I can move and my sugar is up again.

#3- Always test before treating.

#4- It will take about an hour or so to feel better after a big low..<70.Take it easy. You won't really feel back to normal for at least a day.

#5- make sure those around you know what a low sugar looks like and how to best help you.

Low blood sugar can be as bad as high blood sugar. My father and grandmother are diabetic, and I've seen them go through highs and lows frequently, and it's not pretty. You ever seen those glucose jelly beans at the pharmacy? Go for those. Keep them with your glucose reader, and if you're having a low take a couple and you should start to feel better. To avoid it happeneing in the first place, have 5 smaller meals a day, rather than 3.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I'll ask the same question cherub did: are you a diabetic? If so, there are a few important factors to consider, such as: age, weight (have you experienced a gain/loss?), type of diabetes, food intake vs. exercise, etc. The type of treatment needs to be taken into consideration, too: are you on insulin, or on other meds? The dose might simply be too high, and an adjustment would be advisable.
If you are not a diabetic, you might want to check for other causes; diabetes melltus, for instance, would seem unlikely if you only have low blood sugar, as the symptoms of an onset are the opposite, namely, high blood sugar.
It would be best to consult an endocrinologist.

hi friend

there is one saying in India that sugar is teh slow poison. elevated level of sugar, i.e. diabetes mellitus is dangerous and can kill anybody if measures to control is not taken by the sufferer.

However for low sugar level in blood is also a problem, it can lead you to hypoglycaemia and hypoglycaemic shock.

You haven't mention your blood sugar level. If it is below the 60 in PP then you should consult any help otherwise just lower margin has no problem.

I have some quarries. Have you fall down due to low sugar? Do you fell giddiness and high sweating?
if yes then you can easily increase your sugar level by taking some food stuffs.

You haven't mentioned your weight, and age. these are also imporant.

Keep in mind, there are no any medicine to increase blood sugar level, so don't go for medicine or any herbs.

You should take as much as calories that you need.

Usually a fererence indian man need 2400 C energy per day. if you are hard worker than you need ~35 C energy.

For this you can take some emergy giving carbohydrate foods, like
take potatoes, juice of sugarcan, rice, breads, pumpain, mango, apple and any fruit which taste sweet.

Don't take excess of sweets items.

you know one thing "there are 1 billion people who are dying due to lack of food; and within this world there are other one billion people dying due to excess of food". Lots of measures to increase ur blood sugar level may increase it and can cuase a debilatating diabetes mellitus.

Thats why eat as ur body requires, teh body homeostatic mechanism will maintain it to the level normal for individual. It may be that your blood sugar level may be normal for you, because there is individual variation, and lots of people may fall under these extreme ranges.

So be careful before doing anything, whether this is normal for you.

If you have low blood sugar, you should eat anything high in carbohydratres, if your looking to boost your level up quickly, drink any non diet soda or a glass of orange juice. To maintain a good reading, eat small snacks every couple of hours to avoid a drop. Crackers, half a sandwhich just something that will alow your reading to stay at a good level, and test every 3 to 4 hours. Sorry. My Grandson 11, is a type one diabetic.

How do you KNOW you have low blood sugar? A health professional would regard a blood result showing that with some seriousness and commence remedial treament. (Hypoglycaemia causes - if not arrested - coma, perhaps even death).
ALL food raises blood sugar, which, in normal circs is the stored by the body - as an energy supply - until needed (ie on exertion). Obviously some foodstuffs (sugary drinks, fruit, sweets etc) raise quicker than most.... (Nurse: 'Creamcheese')
