You may be sick or have allergies... but for now to help you out so you can have some relief... add some honey & lemon to a cup of hot tea. Also, when you do get some medicine make sure you get DM (this is a cough suppessant) and all brands have a DM form for helping cough. HTH & GL - get well soon, God bless :)

This don't sound good and it don't taste to good either but it does get rid of a cough.

Ingredients:
Onions
Water
Sugar

Directions:
Chop several onions until you have about 1-1/2 cups, the finer the better. Put in a quart jar. Cover with water to about 1/2 inch over the top. Add about 2 Tablesoons sugar and stir briskly.

The first dose:
Take a Tablespoon and holding the jar slightly on its side, press into the mixture to fill the spoon but taking in no onions, only the juice.

Succeeding doses: Stri well. You may have to press a little harder with the spoon, as you are using up the liquid, but continue to take 1 Tablespoonful every hour.

If you run out of the mixture, you can add a little water, but it will be far weakened. What works here is the oil from the onion coats your throat. If you have a whole houseful of sick kids, better to make several recipes as needed, so it stays fresh. Will keep for a couple of days on the counter top.

Hope this helps...it did us

Ok if you do this it will stop you coughing. Take Carbocistine 500 mg 3 times a day for 7 days. Take it for 7 days without a miss even if you're done coughing or it will get worst and the bacteria will just get use to the drugs. Take vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) twice a day since you have you're sic. Drink lots of fruits juices and eat citrus fruits. If you still have cough after 7 days that is not an ordinary cough it could be pneumonia, bronchitis or tuberculosis. So treat it within 7 days.

if it is a dry cough with no sputum i would advise some OTC product that contains dextromethorphan (just read the back of the box) it is in most cough/cold/allergy products. if it a cough that produces sputum i would advise OTC Mucinex, this will loosen the mucus and all you to cough it up and get it out of your system. if the mucus is a dark color or greenish, you could possibly have a bacterial infection. If you have any odd symptoms get it checked out with your doctor. if your throat is sore use cough drops, throat spray, or pepper mints to keep your throat moist. good luck.

There might be something wrong with you.
My significant other's roommate coughs all the time and he's NOT sick or anything. He coughs like a deep cough every like 30 minutes to an hour or so.

Try taking guaifennesin or expectorant. Also take anti histamines. More liquid and less acidic foods. Stay away from infected places.

Best of all consult your doctor.
