Iwant to buy a cake for my daughters christening on 10 dec 2006. I anticipate about 60-80 guests. My budget is up to 100 pounds and I live in North London.

While appearance is important it is vital that the cake is of a high standard (am thinking victoria sponge type)

They will do any cake, any type, any size, any decoration. I had a 3 tier giant fruit cake made for my wedding and it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw.

I was recommended this shop by some jewish friends of mine who said "if this place can please the jewish mums in the area - it must be the best" and they were right.

They also do sweet and savoury nibbles. I had some pink sugar mice made by them to put at people's places instead of the usual sugared almonds, they went down a treat!

They invited us in to look at their extensive catalogue and let us taste a few slices of cake before we chose it.

Greek people in north London? O.o i was born in Harrow and I've been all over London but i am pretty sure i have never seen any problems with Greek people in London??! In London its mainly asians ( and they don't usually cause trouble) and east Europeans ( they don't usually have dark skin) so i think your probably bullshitting, maybe you should move out of London love!!

Both of these are central london but I wanted to send you them anyway as they are so truly wonderful you might fancy the extra miles - plus they could deliver depending on where you are.

Am sure they would be able to do something for you

Why not make one yourself, it won't cost a £100 pound and you will get appreciated more for your efforts. Make a vic sponge cake for the children, and a fruit cake for the adults.
