Check out the warning signs of diabetes at http://www.defeatdiabetes.org/warningsigns.htm
Sounds like your numbers are good. Sometimes we eat sugars and starches & our bodies produce extra insulin to cope. Then the numbers - and the blood sugars - go down. If you are feeling okay, don't worry about it. If your blood sugar goes down and you get a headache or tremors, that is hypoglycemia. Usually it can be controlled with a better diet - more whole foods & grains and less junk.

If you had diabetes, your blood sugar would be high after eating. A normal blood sugar is 80-120 mg/dl. If you aren't from the United States, your meter might read differently, in which case ignore this answer. If you are using a meter bought in the US, then it sounds like you are fine. You also have to take into account how old the meter is, how old the test trips are, the last time the meter was calibrated, etc. If you are concerned about diabetes, you need to go to the doctor's, where they will draw a fasting blood sugar. That's what usually tells them if you have diabates or not. If you are having any symptoms such as frequent urination, excessive thirst, excessive hunger, weight loss, fatigue, then you really should see a doctor soon. Those slight variations in your before and after eating blood sugars sound really normal, but don't take my word for it. Make an appointment with your doctor and find out for sure!

That's perfectly normal. You need to check it first thing in the morning, before you eat to get a true reading. Then eat a high-carbohydrate meal and check it.You'll see it's gone up a bit.If it goes over 130 after eating, then you should be tested for diabetes.

are you constantly thirsty? are you constantly having to urinate? also your blood sugar would be around at least 200 whether you ate or not but if you are in doubt have your doctor do a fasting lipid panel or a glucose drink test (I have had both and do the fasting lipid panel!!!)
