There is more than 1 type of diabetes. Neither the disorder itself - nor resultant elevations in glucose (blood sugar) - cause anxiety - although diabetics who experience drops in glucose due to treatment may very well experience anxiety as one of the symptoms. Also - knowing that you have diabetes - with the increased risk of cardiovascular complications - may make an individual 'anxious' about their future - in which case - good control is the answer.
