No there is not. I worked in a LAB for over six years ad we had husbands, wife's come in to be tested. They did have a Doctors order and they always paid ca$h. They did not want that on their insurance that they had an HIV test. One lady came in with her husband and she had him by the "ear" it was so funny and he was so embarrassed. What people don't realize is the fact that just because you had sex with a person with HIV that you automatically contract it. That is not the case. You may have contracted the virus during intercoarse but it may not ever show up for ten, to fifteen years, and may never show up.

Example: My Ex-Wife has a sister that had two sons. They were both Hemophiliacts (sp). Free bleeders, ok. They both have had so many transfusions over their life time that they contracted the virus HIV. Their dad was in the Navy based in Hawaii, and they were given numbers instead of they calling out their names. To shorten the story one of the sons developed Aids, and died sometime later. His brother has the virus, but has not contracted aids. He has married. Wow! What a brave lady. He still has HIV virus but not aids. But he could contract Aids in the next few minutes. I don't understand this disease!

Why hasn't Scott contracted Aids, has the HIV virus and is still living a normal life when his twin brother has long been dead.

There are not do it yourself HIV Test kits.

If you're concerned and even if you're not concerned, you should go and get tested. It's very quick and easy and a relief to know, rather than wonder.

You should get one done every 6 months if you're sexually active. Even if you're monagomous, you never really know your partner...
