The HIV virus may take 10-12 years before becoming a total scavenger of your immune system. That happens when your CD-4 count reaches 200 or less. That when you have Aids and doctors start you on antiretroviral treatment.

You can learn more about HIV/Aids by visiting the following website:
www.aids.about.com

PS HIV+ people should regularly take a Western Blott test to monitor their CD-4 count and Viral Load.

I had a question in this thread regarding HIV...The person that I know that has HIV has had it for at least 15 years. As I said in my post his brother died with Aids, but his brother is still alive, and at last report doing ok..

As I said in the post he is married and his new bride knew he had HIV. What does she think when they have sex? I just don't understand how she could make love to him knowing he has HIV.
Yes it could develope into full blown Aids at anytime. What about kids? At one point in his life he will develope Aids, and die as his twin brother did. What about oral sex? I would imagine the Doctors have counseled them about these issues.

It depends on the persons current health. If your good at surfin the internet. Look into herbal supplements. There are some that you take together that get rid of the virus where you cannot even trace it.The gov't doesnt want people to know that every know desease to man is curable thru herbs becuase they wont make any money. Why do you think Magic Johnson is still a big strong strapping man. He went to Africa and got the herbs. Why the gov't keeps this a secret is pure greed to make money off of sick people.. I wish the world knew this. Please look into herbal supplements.

Sometimes people never show symptons.

You should get tested every 6 months if you're sexually active.
