From eating beans, and some other food, we turn our system into a natural gas machine. This sometimes can be a problem at dinner parties or other situations. Is there a food which neutralizes the gas to which we can serve at the meal?

If I am cooking pinto beans I always add a potato to the pot, throw the potato away after cooking.
You can also add a teaspoon of baking soda while beans are cooking that will take the gas out of them, and its fun for the kids to watch them foam.
For gas in cucumbers: Cut a slice off of each end of the cucumber. Use the cut off slice and rub it on the end where you have just cut it from. It too will foam, rinse off the foam and then repeat on the other end. No more burps from the cucumber

The secret to not having gas after eating beans is by adding baking soda into the food before serving it. Well, it's easier when the beans are mashed and/or refried. But I'm sure you can add baking soda to the other foods as well without really altering the taste.

I don't know but there's a product called "beano" that does. I have to tell you a funny story. My brother-in-law has that problem, one day he stopped by and I said to him "would you like a little vino?" He started whinning, "I hate that stuff, Kim tries to give it to me all the time." He thought I was offering him beano! I laugh to this day thinking about it.

Fennel is a natural way, but not very tasty. You can buy products like Beano (that is the name) that you take before you eat. Much more convenient.
