Doctors go to medical school for years, just so that they can listen to your complaints and then give you a fancy term that means the same thing you just said. If you have high blood sugar after meals, doctors will "diagnose" that by calling it "postprandial hyperglycemia," which just means high blood sugar after eating. That fancy medical term also means that your doctor can bill you and your insurance company about $200 for a 10-minute office visit.

If your blood sugar is high after eating, that certainly indicates that you are diabetic. You need to see a doctor before you start getting serious diabetic complications. Some of the other medical terms like blindness, amputations and kidney failure are not much fun.

within 2 hours of a meal - should be less than 180-200
if higher you need to see a physician and let them help find your course of action

your body may be trying to tell you that something is wrong

the worst disease to have is DENIAL - it could be bad

let your doctor evaluate you - draw blood , etc, N O W in the next few days

I was in the hospital for an appendectomy on 4-1-2003 and my Dr told me I was diabetic - "No I'm Not!" as it was April Fools Day = nope my test showed 300

don't procrastinate

Check with your doctor as soon as you can. It might not be your glucose level, but something else like a food allergy. Try to keep a diary of what you eat and when you eat it, and how you feel afterwards. This info can help you health care provider immensley.

to continue off of what they said.....

the best test you can possibly take to see if you are a diabetic is an A1C test.

to take the test make an appointment with your doctor to talk about taking the test because u need a referral from a doctor to take the test.
