The best way to eat is whole foods. Just the plain seed, fruit, or vegetable. How to prepare it? Raw foodist would like you to eat everything not cooked (under 108/120 degrees), and soak your nuts before you eat them without their skins on (due to the fact that mother nature put something on them to make sure they didn't rot before they could spout - and speaking of sprouts that is the healthiest for you according to raw foodists). Some stomaches have a hard time digesting raw food all the time, so many do as much as they can, or they will lightly saute their food, or bake the grains (spouted grains made into flour are the easiest to digest for grains in particular - the starches all turn to sugars and the enzymes on the outside for protection are turned into something more digestible). And of course with the way things are produced in the world, try to go organic.

garlic-good for the immune system
carrots- tons of vitamin A
If you go for a vegetarian diet(which typically is a lot healthier) make sure you're getting things like B12, which is found in animal cells with fortified soymilk, or a daily vitamin
whole grains opposed to white stuff- better for you all around, and keeps your colon working right
same goes for whole wheat flour opposed to enriched white flour- anything enriched basically has been cycles through and removed of most nutrients and then bleached(not the best for you)
Lots of greens, think spinach, romain, sprouts
Beans and tofu are great for protein, iron, etc.
Cous cous has lots of iron
Flax is a great source of omega3, but has to be grounded up to be properly digested, it's also good for regulating cholestrol
Good luck! Way to be healthy!

You mean vege foods? Porridge oats - best way to start the day - slow energy release etc.
Otherwise I would cite Tuna as being a wonderfood - full of protein, low fat and high in the Omegas.
