All those stories about Indian waiters are urban myths! Do you worry when you order a hamburger in an American restaurant? I LOVE Indian food-minus the salt, which I can't handle. My daughter whose husband is from Bangalore can cook it very well. She does not prepare curry, however and I have never had that. Rice is a wonderful staple, veggies are good for you, and garam masala is a fabulous spice. If you don't like it, don't eat it, but you are missing a lot.

I've never heard the "waiters tale" so I wouldn't put too much thought in that! Indian food with the garam marsala is some of the finest in the world! Perhaps you chose the wrong dish.

I can tell that you are a bland, bland man who is afraid of the outside world and wants to remain safe in the cocoon you have created for yourself. You are not adventurous, and you believe all the wives tales that you hear about people who are different from yourself. Your mere existence is one-dimensional and extremely limited. I feel sorry for you.
