Hi Ed - I live in North Herts and an Italian takeaway has just opened! And I mean proper food like penne, spaghetti, oh its FANTASTIC! They only do deliveries, not collection (like a Chinese for eg) but I dont care! Theyre BRILL!!! And its also encouraging me to start cooking (my hubby's family is Italian)

My local italian resturant (not pizza hut, dominos etc), but a proper proper resturant, can provide takeaways even if they dont advertise it. If they can get in extra money without having to seat people they can be quite happy about it. Get a menu from the resturant you like, phone them up and say that your "spouse" is not able to go out but you would love to order a takeaway meal, im sure they would be happy to oblige, they pack mine in nice little containers, I get a cab down there and collect and go straight home and vegitate eating my favourite food.

Deepends on where you live and where you move to!
Travel more often and you will find them.
May be the area you live there are few Italians!

You wont find an Italian restaurant in a place where there is more Indians or Spanish?!@
Every area has its own people and its own foods.

There are lots around here: Papa Gino's, Bertucci, Mario's, Upper Crust, Pizzeria Regina, Luigi's, Vinny T's for example.

Why does everyone think Italian is pizza?
Real Italian food would tast crap by the time you got it home.

There was one near my old address. It was cool you could order beers and wine too, direct to your door!

But yes, considering it is a popular food you would think it would be as common as chinese and indian take aways.

Casa Mia does take-out. Can't afford it though. How depressing.

They also do take-out that you cook yourself so you can look like an amazing chef...
