Yes because the medication they have to take after Op takes away sexual drive for a time anyway.
Plus it is a major operation and the MIND also has to adjust to the fact that Fear of a heart attack via over straining could lead to death...
So psychologically it shuts down the sexual drive mechanism of the brain, plus is not recommended for some time anyway...
Hope this was of some help, Google it or Yahoo it in their search engines to find out further info...Cheers

After having open heart surgery you are put on a "cocktail" of medications which all have possible awful side effects. Mention this at the next follow up appt, see if any meds may be changed. Also, I'm sure you've heard a million times already about the after-heart-surgery-depression...no sex drive could also be related to the depression. Ask your doc, he'll help you investigate the cause.

Reading into this subject on the net, YES. It's normal for a low sex drive as well as depression.

I was never on any "cocktail" of drugs after two bypass surgeries, you are just week and probably depressesd somewhat, it will all go away in time as you become stronger and more confident.

Check the medications that were given and see if that is a side effect.
