If you can use a herbal / home remedy , this is it:
Take one teaspoon of pure honey mixed with 3/4 drops of ginger juice and sweet basil juice ( if not available, use wild /cooking basil leaves ) and mix it in 1/2 a glass of warm water.
Drink slowly, letting the liquid sit for some time in your throat .
Also, dont strain vocal cords for sometime, when you have an attack. Use sign language !

99% of the time, laryngitis is viral. Just tincture of time will get rid of that.
