I've been waiting a week so far but I haven't even been thinking about it. I almost had sex but I don't remember for sure if I did or not with this girl, At one point we were both naked I remember that but then I think I passed out, It was the stupidest thing I've ever done and I'm not even sure what happened I don't think there was pentration but still the first results that came back when I went to the clinic were positive for clamidia and Its rumoured that this girl may have been HIV positive. I have never had any other unprtected sex before and was completley suprised to find that I had anything I just went for peace of mind but it doesn't even seem real to me that I may be infected. If they tell me I am I won't know how to feel cause I'm already depressed. I don't even know if I would outlive my parents. WOul;d aprettiate all comments on this thanks.

I actually fell asleep and woke up just a few hours back with a nagging feeling I had do to something. Then I remembered I had to ring the clininc to see h ow long I had to live. I rang up they told me everything was negative and I had had a false positive with the clamidia thing. I consider myself very lucky and I beg you all to be safe outside a commited relationship. Thanks for all your comments!!

I am so sorry you are going through such a hard time right now. Also i can not promise you that you do not have HIV. What i can say is that it is very unlikely. Even if she has HIV and you slept with her only once you may have caught it but more likely you have not caught it. Try to think of it like this: a women who is trying to fall pregnant may fall pregnant first time but more often she has to make a few attempts before she falls pregnant. HIV is a bit like that also. I hope it all goes well for you and please remember to use a condom in the future. All the best and take care. xx

Worse case scenario, HIV is no longer considered a death sentence. With proper medication you may never develop full blown AIDS. Magic Johnson is a testament to that theory, he has been HIV positive for over 15 years and is still going strong. Regardless of the outcome you need the support of family and friends. Good Luck

You could have had a false positive- and maybe you are presently numb while waiting for the results- even if it was positive you may live a decade or longer with the meds that are out now- and not get full blown aids- take care - D

You'll probably be okay. But even if you do get a postive result whilst not a nice thing to live with the treatment today means you probably won't die, in fact the latest news says they have come up with a cure now.... so fingers crossed and next time know what you are doing.

First off I pray you get the results you want, Secondly though there is no "cure" for HIV BUT its hardly a death sentence, it once was. My bestfriend found out her boyfriend is HIV positve this was almost 5 years ago he takes great care of himself and hes in great shape u would never think he was infected, and my bestfriend has stuck by his side.

Can you let us know how it goes???

I pray that you will be ok. We all make dumb mistakes. It is part of life. I am sure once the test results are back you will feel better and will be able to go on with your life.

If it turns out your positive, they don't just let you walk away like that. They know the information they're going to pass is difficult and life changing and their suppose to be knowledgeable about that by being prepared to provide info. and support.

Wait until the results come out. If you blacked out, I am sure nothing happened.
