I had my first UTI this year and it hit me suddenly while I was at work. I felt like I needed to urinate every 5 minutes, and even after urinating, it felt like I still needed to go, even though I couldn't. It was very painful as I finished peeing, too. I remember I couldn't even drive home from work without even stopping twice to use the restroom. I also had some blood in my urine. You don't want to wait to see a doctor...the infection could travel to your bladder or kidneys if you wait too long. If you have a UTI, drink a lot of water or cranberry juice. NO alcohol or caffeine. Make an appointment with your doctor and he/she will give you an antibiotic so you will feel relief within 24 hours.

Yes it sucks. I am female, so my symptoms might be different. I had a lot of lower back pain, sometimes my stomach hurts also and pain when I went pee. My urine was yellow. I had a discharge, but it wasn't like a yeast infection. I usually ran aa fever and felt weak and tired. After some pyridian and some other antibiotic I felt better.

I had one after I had a catheter in the hospital (after having a baby). Symptoms including a burning sensation when you pee. If you let it get bad, then it REALLY hurts! See your doc ASAP so you can get some antibiotics. After a day and a half, you'll start feeling normal again, but finish your meds.

I had that all the time when I was younger, and it turned out to be a major problem with my kidneys that would have been fatal without surgery. Check it out just incase.

I've had it. You have to pee every half hour it seems like, it hurts like hell and there's almost no pee even though you feel like you're going to burst. You have to have antibiotics to cure it.
