I haven't had sex for five years, and then it was sexual abuse. My periods stopped in August and I went to my school's nurse practitioner for a women's wellness exam and the test came back positive for chlamydia. But, I haven't had sexual contact since I was 13. Is it possible that I could have come in contact five, actually almost 6, years ago.

The naming part is very sensitive, and a doctor will not discuss the matter with the two of you together. Neither will they tell you if the other person named anyone else. In many cases, you can have a couple who has been together, faithful and monogamous, for years, and there is no one else to name because they just don't know or remember. Either partner could have brought the infection to the relationship unknowingly. There is nothing to be gained by finger pointing, as there is no way to know who is responsible.
So, it doesn't mean either partner has been unfaithful. All it means is you have an infection which needs to be treated. Don't get hung up on who did what and when. Nothing in your relationship has to change, and there's no need to let this be a point for arguement or blame. You wouldn't get excited if it were a yeast infection, or any other kind of infection, so don't get excited over this.

The test is very simple, and treatment consists of a course of antibiotics. It's one of a range of sexually transmitted diseases which are becoming increasingly widespread. I's probably best to get checked for everything if you're worried, as often these nasty bugs coexist.
And remenber, it's never too late to practise safer sex.

Yes, it could. It just depends on your body type. You do need to get treated though because Chlamydia can cause infertility and lots of other health probs.

If u don't go and get regular exams, yes. Many ppl don't show symptoms of chlamydia.

yes you can have it and theres A chance you have no symptoms at all and you wouldn't even know you had it and it wont go away on its own you can also ruin your reproductive system you may not be able to conceive if to much damage is done
