Propylene glycol is used to keep food moist because it can retain water. Also, it acts as a thickener and emulsifier (keeping oils and liquids mixed together.) The US FDA considers it safe.

its a preservative.

NO its not antifreeze..

become a vegetarian if you dont like it.
