I'm confused, Nurse says you should NOT be at work then Doc says GO to work. Dont know what is wrong with you but you should see your doctor again and ask questions.

ECG is the image of the electrical action of your heart. It can identify changes of rhytm, failures to coordinate heart contractions, failures in the "wire" by which the heart impulsed are passed, etc. It can also identify if the heart is less than well oxygenated or if there are any scars (like from earlier infracts, maybe too small to be noticed at the time).
Your doc should comment on the ECG and if he has doubts either send you to a cardiologist or do an excercise ECG and/or a 24 hour ECG reading and/or a ultrasound exam of the heart

Without seeing your report NO one can tell you why you were told that. You need to call your docs office and ask up front what is going on.

you must be very frightend and thinking all sorts of dreadful things but the unknown is worse than the known as soon as you know what is going on you can get the help you need and probably you will be fine.there is a tremendous lot of drugs and procedures these days to help with heart problems im sure your doctor will do whats best for you and it sounds like for now he needs you to rest so sit down try not to worry and ring him first thing i hope all goes well.

It's possible that this told to you as a precaution but if you really want to know why you were told not to return to work then you should speak to the one who told you. We, here, have no way to know what this person's thinking was.
