to take my mom off for 2 hours today. what happens tomorrow?

If she did good with being off the 2 hrs today they will increase it until she can be off completely. Hoping to keep her oxygen level high enough & breathing on her own.

If she did alright today then they will slowly, over the next couple of days, increase the amount of time they take her off. Just keep in mind that it will take time for her to regain her respiratory muscle strength. She has been through a lot so this will be a major step for her. Keep your spirits up, now is the time she will really need your support.
