my friend told me that I should go to the hospital because of how often I have asthma attacks, and he told me that asthma can cause cancer. I was flipping through a book on asthma, and I did see something about cancer, but I'm not sure if it's just a theory.

If someone knows anything about this subject, please tell me all of the symptoms! thank you!

Asthma doesn't cause cancer. But asthma can be caused by it. Or the same conditions that caused the asthma can cause the cancer too.

If you haven't already, you should see a doctor about treatment for your asthma. It's not much fun not being able to breathe.

Cancer are cells that have decided to mutiny and form their own little club which they keep making bigger by inviting new healthy cells to join them. Asthma has never been asked into the club because it is it's own club. The two don't mix. But please be careful with your asthma and your medications for it, follow your doctor's advise or your RT's
Good luck
