Is there a website which has the audio examples of how these sound like?

They sound totally different. Take your hair and rub it together between your fingers next to your ear....that is what crackles sound like. Rhonchi sounds like thunder in your lungs.

Crackles sounds like static and is usually only heard on inspiration (because the alveoli are popping open), rhonchi has a lower pitch and is heard on both inspiration and expiration, and can usually be cleared or lessened with a cough, whereas crackles cannot.

go to yahoo search or google and find out easier than asking here. my rn says they might be interchangeable terms.
