I would contact your doctor who handled your case, spontaneous pneumothorax once makes you more likely for another. But there is no way to eliminate your chances, I have seen folks come into the ER for a cough, a sneeze, and then others have no reason or way they know it could have happened. I have seen repeated visits from folks who have problems. I again would contact your doctor and see what he or she would like you to do. They might have something they wish for you to do in order to fly, or swim or they might advise against it.

I am not pretending to know anything about spontaneous pneumothoraxes, but I really do not think this is appropriate for you to ask on Yahoo. A decision that could mean death should not be answered by someone who could be a twelve year old. Go to your doctor, go to a reliable medicine website, go to someone you know is a doctor, but don't ask on anonymous message boards. Good luck!

It is better for you to see your personal doctor because each peopleis diferent or go to a respiraoty lab where they make you an spirometry andsee how is your torax working
it depends how far are you going tofly
and l supose you are not going to compit in a swiming carrer

to avoid it you have to do exercise better asesed by a tecnician in respiratoyry reabilitacion
