Let's see, next month is December, so how 'bout a Winter Wonderland! Blue, white, and silver ribbons decorated everywhere, also have white and silver paper and foil snowflakes eveywhere, and also place some fake giant snowmen around the house.
Serve finger food, easy to make, easy to fill. And don't forget vanilla cupcakes with white frosting and blue and white sprinkles!

Check out shindigz.com . I threw a luao last summer and just did my 50's Sock-Hop reception for my wedding last month.
They have everything and it's got WOW factor written all over it. They have a lot of themes and even if you don't buy, you can get some really good ideas.

Is there a country or culture you like? For instance, if you like Japan, throw a japanese party and decorate your living room as if it were a japanese festival.
Is it cold where you live? Crank up the heat and have everyone where shorts and tank tops, serve summer food and drinks.

You could do a color theme. I had a white party (everyone wore white) a couple years ago and it was great. Or a toga party. Or a wine tasting party. Or a martini party!
