Sounds like you may have herpes, which there is no cure for, my only suggestion is to see a Dr. It is treatable but not curable. If you have any penicillin try those for a week and see if it goes away then it maybe Gonorrhea or something like that, the only way to know for sure is to see a Dr. to get tested. There are plenty of health clinics out there that charges next to nothing and are very discreet. And by all means you two should start using condoms.

Sounds like a possible urinary tract infection along with a yeast infection along with something possibly more serious.Every girl your age sexually active or not should have an annual pap test done. Tell your parents that you want to have your womens yearly because they say you need to start doing that after you start your period now. And go from there. Because you are 16 your doctor cannot talk to your parents. When did you become sexually active? If after 13 then ok but to live with this for 3 years. Yuck. How can you stand it. If anything go to the local pharmacy and ask the Pharmasist which over the counter yeast infection medicin works the best. Try that because you do that at night your parents probably won't find out. I do not condone hiding stuff but I am not your parent so I am not preaching at you. I am 25 and have 2 kids myself. I would much rather have my daughter be open and honest about this stuff than to hide it, but I don't know your situation. Good Luck.

This has been going on for 3 years? That is not good. You should be able to go to your nearest health department and see a doctor right away. Also you can talk to your school nurse and make sure you tell her you want to keep this confidential. She might have a list of doctors you can see that wont cost that much. You need a pap smear done yearly since you are sexually active, also they need to run other tests to make sure you dont have a seriouse infection, also a urine test will tell them if you have a urinary track infection. If you have a urinary track infection they can put you on antibiotics to clear it up. A good tip for any woman...if you have pain when you urinate, drink plenty of cranberry juice for a few days as it will help get rid if it. this is only for women who first experience a little pain while using the bathroom as it is the onset or begining of a urinary track infection. I get them a lot and the cranberry juice gets rid of them before they get worse which saves in doctor bills. By all means, Get to the doctor right away as this does not sound good at all.

Please go to a doctor or clinic right away. Planned Parenthood does not notify your family. You can go to Google and look up the nearest clinic in your town. I can't understand why you have let this problem go on for three years; your ability to have children someday may have already been damaged. But better late than never.
You have to get a proper diagnosis and the right medicine. Over the counter medications seldom help treat vaginal infections correctly. Take the time and trouble to go. If you don't, you may not be able to have a baby later in life.
Good luck.

Sounds like bacterial vaginitis to me you will have to see the doctor or live with it and what if it is more serious. Don't be stupid about this. What are you doing for birth control? When you become sexually active you have a duty to yourself to take care of yourself. You say this has been going on for 3 years. What are you thinking. If you are afraid of your parents then just go to health dept. You are 16 surely you have a friend who drives if you do not live where you can catch a bus. But if you are only afraid to tell parents because you are too immature to accept the responsibility or your parents disappointment then you should do the brave thing and tell them. Seriously if you can't go to md because you are embarrassed then you must not feel to good about your decition to have sex.
Again you need to accept the responsibilty to take care of your body noone else will.
Go to the doctor. Go to the doctor asap.

First if it smells you really need to get checked by a doctor. If it is a yeast infection they sell over the counter medication for that. If it is a bladder or uti you can increase the amount of water you drink and add cranberry juice that will help with that. You could tell your parents that you feel like you have a bladder or uti and would like to see the doctor when you get there try to get the nurse's attention and see if you can be alone for the appointment so you can talk to your doctor alone to see if it is more serious. good luck.

Any infection is serious, it causes tissue damage. Go see a doctor, check out your local planned parenthood clinic, they dont have to tell your parents as you are over 16. Even if you tell your regular doc you dont want your parents to know you are sexually active he shouldnt tell them. If you dont trust him see a different doctor. It is possible to have a urinary tract infection without it being a std, so your parents have no need to know if its sexually related. Yeast infections are common, so are bacterial infections even in those not sexually active. See a doctor get it treated, its not worth the pain and suffering just because you are afraid your parents will find out you are having sex.

Girl u need to see a doctor right away even if you dont want to! It could be a sexually transmitted infection (STI), if u don't get checked out it could lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and that could cause infertility and increase ur chances of getting cervical cancer, then again it could be nothing, but u have to see a doctor to be sure. I'm not trying to scare u, but any infection in that area should be taken seriously.
If u are not using a condom regularly start using one all the time!
I know doctors have a doctor / patient confidentiality oath where they wont tell any one anything u tell them unless they believe u r in danger in which case they are obligated to inform the police, so u shouldn't have to worry about involving your parent (even though i think they might be understanding).
please check out these sites for info: http://www.scarleteen.com/infection/index.html

it may not be seroius right now, but if left untreated you can have more problems later and it might be harder or longer to get the problem "fix" and think about complications , sweetie... i suggest you go and talk to an adult you trust an aunt maybe go to a local health dept clinic . with your age im pretty sure they need your parents consent to treat you. so thats one dilemma there. but i think you have to talk to your parents too about this since youve had it since your 13 thats a LONG time ... they will understand , and you will feel better physically and you mind at ease....please do this NOW and dont wait anymore...also you might want to get STD information and birth control pills too ,
Good Luck Sweetie.

you probably have both a urinary tract infection, and a vaginal infection, not just yeast either, probably chlamydia....you'd best see a doctor and stop all sexual activity until you know what you have, tell your sexual partner that they better get checked as well or you could be passing the infection back and forth.
