my bf has herpes even before i met him. it comes and goes. i havent seen him for a month, then last week i saw him again, and he's got sores in his navel. im thinking that he could have cheated on me and got sore again from the person who has this herpes. do you think that he did it with another woman so the sore activated once again? how does it rly happen? please please help me.

Herpes can spread if he touches a sore and then touches another part of his body. Men are more prone to spreading because sores on the penis touch the legs, etc. He should be really careful about washing his hands -- especially before he touches his eyes, as he could go blind if he gets sores in his eyes. My husband and I both have herpes (he gave it to me) and he recently had a really bad outbreak and the sores spread to his stomach. I've had sores on my stomach too, and legs. Having an outbreak is no indicator of infidelity.

No, having the outbreak does not mean he is sleeping with anyone. Herpes is non-treatable. that means he will have it forever just not always showing. Outbreaks can happen alot or only every few years. It depends if he is on medication and how his body handles stress and all.
Talk to him! I am sure he knows alot about the topic and if not you both should do some research. Good Luck!

well as your self, IS this what I want for the rest of my life? Do I want to have kids from someone who has herpies and some who can spred them if necessary measures are not taken? Do I want to worry about this for the rest of my life? After you ask you self that question then I guess aking if he cheats on you should not be a big deal or is it?

Doesn't he know about or used condoms? If he would of used them in his past relationships he would have herpes..YUCK!
Just be careful, don't put yourself at risk! use a CONDOM!

he will have times when he has an outbreak and times when he doesn't. Sleeping with someone else will not trigger an outbreak.
