You may need to get a tester to check your blood sugar on a regular basis, I have weak spells with dizziness sometimes, but very rarely. My father and my mother both had diabetes but my doctor doesn't seem concerned so I guess I'll wait and see if it becomes more serious. Some doctors are just plain ignorant about diabetes, read up on the subject and find a doctor who is knowledgable on the subject if you have concerns.

it sounds like you're already using a blood glucose meter to test your glucose levels...you're not doing anything "wrong." but you probably need to eat more frequently...as in every 2-3 hours. esp if you're working hard. eat lower simple carbs, and more amounts of good sources of protein. you might need to keep a tube of glucose paste on you at all times, in case your sugars drop too low. and keep your monitor with you so that if you start to feel strange, you can test and know exactly what your glucose level is...your blurry vision can be from low sugars, or high sugars. get a glaucoma test just in case.
you really need to report these symptoms to your doctor asap too. something else could be going on. if you're taking avandia, or another diabetes rx, the dosage might need to be reduced.
more and more people who are not overweight are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes...according to my doctor, who is diabetic, 2 viruses have recently been linked to type 2 diabetes.

It sounds like you are experiencing hypoglycemia. You're blood sugar is dropping quick. It can make you feel tired, hungry, blurry vission, and light headed. If you drink some orange juice it should come back up. Protein also helps maintain blood sugar levels. Peanut butter is a good source of that.

I'm not a doctor but if you're having all of those symptoms you're more than pre diabetic. And it could be something entirely different. My suggestion is a second opinion. Do not ignore what your body is telling you. Are you taking medication? Get a second opinion. Better safe than sorry. Go. Do.

small meals 6 times a day keep hard candy with you and eat whole grains not just sugar and candy. your body is producing too much insulin it does that when it thinks it has too much sugar in the body cut down on the bad carbs and eat more fruit veggies and whole grains.

have you ever though of carrying sweets//biscuits or something high in sugar with you, like a can of coca cola .. so if you feel like you want to passout just have one of the above and it will stableize your blood sugar ..
it seems like your blood sugar is getting to low, which is what is making you feel so faint =D

You need to keep a written diary of your blood sugars so you can detect a pattern. This will help tremendously.
