Hi there !
It comes under "Gastro enterolgy" and not under "Respiratory Diseases" !
Better contact a Gastro enterologist in a GOOD hospital !
Maybe you can contact Dr A T Mohan in Apollo Hospitals Greams road Chennai ! He is just excellent ! Try for his appointment in 28290200 or 28293333 ! best wishes !

But usual "gas trouble" can be managed personally at home by little diet control !
Follow these golden rules !
1. Reduce potato based dishes .
2. Reduce Dal based items like Sambhar
3. Early dinner ..not later than 8 pm
4. Have butter milk with garlic before bed time !
5. Regular timings ..for food will be good
6. last but important ...regular brisk walking for
40 minutes in the morning ..
Result assured in 2 weeks if sincerely
followed !
best wishes !

It is God. Have a systematic living. Keep stomach half full. Have good sleep. Be active and alert. I have seen different reasons for gas trouble, hence not any particular medicine is applicable. However, 'Arishtas' that produce gas would do better . Example, if we drink 'Soda water' that is available at Rs.2/- or so, would take away the existing gas in stomach while the soda gas goes out. (Old saying - hot would suffice with hot, or pin (Southindian 'Mullu') has to be used for taking out pin from body.

You don't need a doctor unless it is associated with something serious. Then you'd need a Gastroentorologist.

Gas is caused by one of the following; bacterial imbalance in the gut, too much gas-producting foods, stress, etc.

Eat organic yogurt, not fruit, or take a probiotic for a while to see if you can balance your bacteria. Stop eating big meals, meals with gas-producing foods and limit stress. Also, eat slowly, chewing your foods. Get exercise, drink water, don't drink sodas which had carbonation that produces gas.

in fact - there are two famous doctors !

one - gastroentro...... gist ( something like that )
two - your body !!!

don't get surprised, "your body" is the best doctor of the two.
it tells you when to stop - "eating should not become hogging",
it tells you "hunger" should be the spice of food,
( your toungue forces you to go "spicy"),

your legs , lungs & whole body requires - brisk morning walk of 30 minutes!

and so on .........

pls listen to Your body, carefully.... your BURPS will stop;

many-ques!!!
